Pricing

One price, published,
by population.

No setup fee. No per-user charges. No limit on reports, departments, photos or residents. The price is published so you can take a real figure into the conversations you need to have — with whoever approves spending in your municipality, and anyone else you need to consult — instead of opening them by asking for a quote.

Billed annually for your fiscal year. Population is taken from the most recent federal census, so it is a number you can check rather than one we assert. A community near a band boundary gets the lower band.

Founding communities

The first five communities pay one band below their population, held through 2029. You would be backing an unproven supplier, and that should be worth something concrete rather than a thank you.

What that includes

  • Every department, however many you have
  • Every member of staff, with no per-seat charge
  • Unlimited reports, photos and residents
  • Your boundary, your categories, your department routing
  • Your colours and wordmark on the resident-facing pages
  • Email updates to residents, and the daily neighbourhood digest
  • Hosting, backups, security updates and support

The questions we would ask

Do we have to go out to bid?

Probably not. Under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30B, a procurement under $10,000 is obtained through sound business practices — no quotes required. Between $10,000 and $50,000 you need written quotes from three vendors. Every band above sits under that line on an annual term.

Two caveats worth raising with your procurement officer rather than taking from us. Estimates are meant to include the full anticipated term including renewal options, so a multi-year commitment is counted differently from an annual one. And your own internal signing authority may sit well below the statutory threshold — that is usually the limit that actually decides how quickly this can happen.

What happens if we stop paying?

New reports close. Everything else keeps working: residents holding a reference can still check it, existing reports stay readable, and your staff keep access to the queue and to a full export.

A civic service that goes dark at midnight strands residents who were told their report was being handled. That is not something we are willing to do to your residents in order to collect from you.

What if you disappear?

A fair question to ask a one-person supplier, and you should ask it.

Your data is exportable at any time, without asking, in the Open311 format — the open standard that most 311 systems can read. That means moving to another supplier is an import rather than a rebuild. We would rather be kept because leaving is easy than because it is hard.

Can we try it first?

Three months, free, with your real departments and your real boundary. Nothing is purchased, so there is nothing to procure. At the end of it you will know from your own residents' reports whether it is worth the line item.

How long does setting up take?

Days, not a project. There is no data migration, no integration work and no training programme, because there is nothing to train anyone on — staff update a report by clicking a link in the email they already received.
